I got married on New Years Eve and we were looking for a dress for my mom. We had been to many shops and my Mother had found a dress she loved at another shop, but the service at the other shop was horrible and when she told the saleswoman she wanted to wait to order the dress for a few weeks because she hoped to lose some weight the woman laughed at her.
I took the style number of the dress and searched the internet and found they had it at Grandasia. We came to the store on a Sunday night at 6:45 (LAST MINUTE), and Grandasia was going to close at 7. We were met at the door by a nice Gentleman, He and the two woman working at the store assured us they would stay open as late as we needed and right away grabbed the dress we were looking for. They did not try to push any other sales on us, and were extremely helpful.
My mother ordered the dress that night and when the dress came in the seamstress said she would wait as long as we wanted to do the alterations as my mom was hoping to lose more weight. A week before the wedding she went in for her fitting and the dress came out perfect!
The woman at the store were kind, helpful and always had a smile on their face. Grandasia is a great place and I will definetly be back for any other formal attire!
Through a friend's recommendation, I went to Grandasia to help my daughter-in-law to find a wedding dress 3 years ago. We looked at many places and were unable to locate that special dress she wanted. Our first visit to Grandasia was a very positive experience. The owner was very helpful and patience. She took her time with my daughter-in-law and showed her many beautiful gowns to try on. As a result my daughter-in-law was able to find the gown of her dream. I also found a lovely dress for myself to wear on the day of my son's wedding. The help we recieved was warm and friendly. The fitting and alteration was perfect. The formal wear was ready on time. We had not experienced the kind of close attention we received here from other boutiques we went to. We were very pleased.
We went back to Grandasia last year for my daughter's junior prom dress. She found a beautiful dress and received many nice compliments from her friends. We recently were back to look for her senior prom dress, after she picked out the style she liked from the large selections from their website. Our experience shopping at this boutique was fun and pleasant. The owner and the employee were helpful and attentive for the special dresss we have in mind. I would say they are also very compassionate to their customers.
We will always come back here for those special occasions.
They have a great selection of dresses and are just the nicest people I had met. The reason I gave it a 4 was because I would have liked a bigger dressing room (the gown took up half the space) and the cleanliness is not top notch. I've been told they're opening up an entirely new bridal section down the street and once they've done this, I'm sure all my worries will be at bay.
They have everything you need for your wedding, even down the butt-implant underwear! They're open to customizing and are sewing my wedding date into my gown in blue thread for my "something blue." I highly recommend Grandasia Bridal for your bridal, prom and gown needs!
After searching several other bridal boutiques in the area (David's Bridal, Alfred Angelo, Manhattan Bridals), and finding absolutely NOTHING of interest in style or color for my bridesmaids, I finally caved and went to look at GrandAsia.
I am so happy I did! Not only did they have a very large selection of unique bridesmaid dresses in the exact color I was looking for, but they were very helpful & accommodating. They offered suggestions for alterations/tweaks to match my vision and spent a lot of time with each bridesmaid to make sure they were ordering the correct size.
Don't let the outside appearance of their shops fool you! They offer great dresses & formal wear at decent prices.
If I hadn't already ordered my wedding dress, I'd be going to GrandAsia for an appointment for bridal gowns as well!
After visiting several bridal shops with my daughters looking for the mother of the bride dress we stumbled upon "Grandasia". We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. Up until and including the actual wedding day we often commented on the fact that we wish we had shopped at "Grandasia" for all our wedding needs.
The bride’s dress had been purchased; the attendants' gowns ordered; all that was left was the mother of the bride dress. We first visited Grandasia after visiting an exclusive bridal shop on the south shore, which carried the dress I was looking for but not in my size. We were told it would take several weeks to order and that I should place the order that very day to avoid paying "rush fees" for both the dress and the alterations. Placing an order with this shop would have left me with no time to drop those extra few pounds before doing the alterations. What a pleasant surprise to visit Grandasia and be able to try on the dress in my current size and to find that I actually had enough time to order the dress and receive it a few extra weeks before the wedding so that I could do what was needed to look good, without having to incur a "rush fee"! Over the next several weeks as we continued to shop for shoes, jewelry and a handbag we kept finding ourselves back at Grandasia. They carried everything we needed and then some.
What became more apparent during our returns to "Grandasia" was that the "then some" was a manner of true professionalism, concern and friendship. We witnessed each of these qualities firsthand and with other customers they served. I would highly recommend "Grandasia" as your first stop shopping. Wedding particulars are supposed to be fun! The owner and staff at "Grandasia" made this shopping experience enjoyable with many laughs. Even my husband enjoyed the experience on his trips with us. To do it all again…absolutely, but only at "Grandasia".
Grandasia Bridal is a one-of-a-kind hidden gem with a great selection of truly beautiful wedding gowns and amazing customer service. I purchased my dream wedding dress - an amazing Justin Alexander creation - from them before Thanksgiving, and had the most amazing experience.
First off, don't let appearances fool you. If you were to walk by this place and glance in the window, you'd think it was a bit quirky - traditional Asian gowns bursting with color appear in the display, and you don't exactly think they would carry top-of-the-line wedding gowns or beautiful evening dresses. But, they really do.
I called Grandasia because I was looking for a specific Justin Alexander dress for my wedding - I had been drooling over it online and couldn't find it anywhere in the area. I tried all the 'fancy' boutiques and chain wedding stores to see if I could be a substitute, to no avail. Then I thought, hey, let me try calling this place, just for fun.
I spoke with a friendly woman who immediately said they had the gown I was looking for. I drove there that evening, and was met with a fun, jolly group of employees, including the owner, who were so incredibly friendly and sweet, they made me feel like a truly wanted customer.
The woman who helped me try on me dress, Fong, was incredible. She pinned me into my dress, was incredibly friendly and helpful, and made me feel at home. Needless to say, I bought the dress on the spot (it'll take 5 months to arrive from the designer, but it's well worth the wait!!). Oh, and important to note, there wasn't any pressure to buy - I just really wanted it :)
On top of the great selection and service, they are incredibly reasonably priced. I was shocked that I was still within budget for such a beautiful dress. I'll post an update to this review when I receive my dress and go to them for my alterations, though I have the highest of expectations.
I highly recommend coming here. I believe they are opening up a new location in Quincy soon that'll be a bit bigger - a huge plus as the current location is a bit cramped (but that's ok by me).
I have gotten so many compliments about the collection of dance shoes that I bought from Grandasia. "Wow" where do you get those Red Satin/Silver Sparkles? "They look gorgeous!" The heel is higher than I usually wear but I can wear them and dance 5 hours of ballroom comfortably. They are open toe shoes without feeling open toe. My gold dance shoes have a lower heel and even though they have an open toe it isn't an issue. Other open toe shoes that I bought elsewhere feel as though they are cutting into the top of my foot. It doesn't happen in these shoes.
When I first came into Grandasia in March 2011, the first dress I tried on I immediately had to have. The staff did an awesome job with making sure I was 100% satisfied with my choice. The environment is warm and fun, yet extremely professional. They gave my dress to me in no time and it turned out perfectly. This year shopping for prom, Grandasia was the first place I looked for a dress, and loved all the selections. I even ended up getting my dress from here again. I've recommended it to several of my friends who have been happy I did so. I feel confident with trusting the staff here to get everything done perfectly and on time. I will definitely be a client for the following years to come.
I have been looking for a Mother's Gown for my son's wedding. Every bridal shop I went to did not carry larger sizes that you could try on to get an idea of the style that would camouflage any flaws. This shop did! they were extremely helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to get the dress that I wanted (which was discontinued) and called to see if it could still be made, which the company could still do. Needles to say I was thrilled. this shop is the first I would go back to if I need another dress.
